Technology Adoption Panel Seeks New Members, ages 18 and 34

I've been on this Panel for about 2 years. They send out about one survey a month and they are pretty easy to get through quickly. It's been a while, but I even won one of they drawings they have, so it's not a scam like some of the paid survey offers that are out there.

Subject: Refer A Young Person!

Dear Current TAP Panelist:

Once again, we are on a mission to grow a specific segment of our always-expanding Technology Adoption Panel (T.A.P.) This time it's not women we're after - but the young folks in your life, specifically those between the ages of 18 and 34. This age segment of technology users is under-represented in our T.A.P., and we need your help. We would like you to forward this e-mail to any and all of the 18 to 34 year olds in your life who you think may have valuable opinions about technology and would be interested in participating in our surveys, be it your children, your nieces or nephews, your neighbor's brother's young uncle...you get the picture.

For every energetic young person that you refer, we will enter your name into a drawing to win a $100 Amazon.com gift certificate (i.e., get 100 young people to join and get 100 chances to win the gift certificate). Your odds of winning depend upon how many of your referred acquaintances join the panel and how many referred new panelists we get in total before the end of February.

So that the people you refer don't think you're involving them in a scam, here is some commonly-asked questions

About the Technology Adoption Panel™

Who are you people, anyway? In-Stat (a division of Reed Business Information) is a leading provider of technology market research and consulting.

What's a "Technology Adoption Panel"?  The "TAP" is a dynamic, online panel of nearly 18,000 technology users and decision makers interested in contributing their opinions and insights about technology usage and issues in the workplace and at home.

I often experience technical difficulties while operating my telephone and other common technologies. Are you sure you want me to join your panel?  Yes! The fact that you operate common technologies makes you a technology user. We want to hear about your personal experiences with the technologies that you have used.

I'm a very, very busy person. What will you expect of me if I join the panel? As a member you'll be sent periodic email invitations to participate in quick (as in 5-minutes-or-less quick) online surveys.  You will never be invited to take more than one survey a week, and you are under no obligation to take any of the surveys (although we would love to include your experiences, perceptions, and opinions in as many of our research efforts in which you're willing to participate.)

Let's cut to the chase - what do I get out of this deal? In addition to helping to shape trends and identify issues regarding the role of new technology in business and personal life today and in the future, you'll have access to the executive summaries of all of our surveys. You'll also be entered into a drawing for a $100 Amazon.com gift certificate after each survey for which you qualify and will also be entered into our quarterly drawings for $2000.

Will you be selling my survey responses to my neighbors, co-workers and psychiatrists? To ensure information provided by members is kept completely confidential, all data we collect is reported in aggregate. We do not sell or rent the personal information of our panelists, nor will we ever try to sell our members anything.

You had me at hello - how do I sign up?  Simply click on the link to take the registration survey (which should take you around 5 minutes to complete).  If you become a member by the end of this month, we will automatically enter you into our next quarterly drawing of $2000 (held on or about March 31, 2009.)

gScreen set to release 15.4-inch dual-screen laptop

Dual-Screen Laptop (2x 15.4-inch) set to Launch From Startup, gScreen Computer Corp.

Anchorage, Alaska (gScreen Computer Corp.) December 24, 2008 - With two identical 15.4-inch backlit displays, over 28-inches wide, extended and a full size keyboard, gScreen Corp., will have a limited release early 2009.

After spending several years in research and development and four major design changes, gScreen computer Corp. is planning to release it's first 15.4-inch dual-screen laptop (G400) to market in early 2009. The first product off the production line will have identical displays powered by a NVIDIA graphics processor and an Intel 2.8-GHz Core 2 Duo T9600 CPU. The laptop's dual displays are centered in relationship to the laptop body and keyboard when fully extended. The secondary screen turns on automatically when it is extended, one or both screens can be used depending on the users specific task at any given moment.

Gordon Stewart, gScreen Corp's Founder/ CEO and Chief Designer came up with the dual-screen laptop design in 2003 because he wanted a better mobile solution for video production, web design and photo editing within the Adobe Suite of software tools.

A 17-inch and 13.3-inch dual-screen model will be released Q3 & Q4 2009. The order of release of the 17 and 13.3 will be decided by feedback gathered from an online customer survey over a 60-day period in early 2009.

The company is also developing a ruggedized 15.4-inch dual-screen laptop for the US NAVY; the TITAN-M1 has a projected Q2 2009 release. The US NAVY contacted gScreen Corp. in June 2008, and requested the development of a ruggedized version of the previous non-rugged 15.4-inch design.
